Bocce Tournament Summary
The tournament features sixteen teams in a double-elimination format, utilizing four courts. With only eight teams competing at a time, the tournament is structured to ensure continuous play and a fair chance for all teams.
Round 1a & 1b:
- The first round features eight matches with all 16 teams, split across the four courts in two waves, round 1a and round 1b. The winners of these matches advance to the winner's bracket Round 2, while the losing teams move to the loser's bracket.
Round 2 (Winner's Bracket):
- The eight winning teams from Round 1 face off on the four courts. The four victorious teams move forward in the winner's bracket, while the four losing teams are eliminated.
Round 3 (Loser's Bracket):
- The eight teams that lost in Round 1 compete in the loser's bracket on the four courts. The losing teams in this round are eliminated from the tournament.
Round 4 (Winner's and Loser's Bracket):
- The eight remaining teams from round 2 and round 3 will compete on the four courts
Round 5:
- The four remaining teams from round 4 will compete on the two higher courts
Round 6 (Championship Game):
- Final game with the two remaining teams from round 5 competing for the championship
